Hosptitality, Prayer, Formation and Service, to lead souls to Everlasting Life with our Savior, Jesus Christ
As the recipient of Catholic School education, it would be appropriate to want to share my personal experience. One of 10 children, we were all educated in Catholic school system, despite the fact that neither of my parents studied past high-school. As lower middle income home, my parents saved every extra penny towards our education, that is where my parents put their money.
The level of Catholic education surpasses any public school, the tough basic teachings allowed me to follow a carreer in medicine, where I am now a practicing Surgeon.
With monies available at St Boniface, it would be my pleasure to see more parishioners take advantage of Catholic Education.
Margarita delaGarza-Grahm, M.D. FACS
General Surgeon
The Diocese of Tyler is blessed with two wonderful Catholic schools, both of which are rich in history and tradition, with exceptional ratings in scholastic achievement. A Catholic education is valuable both scholastically and spiritually - children with this formative background learn how to become lifelong learners! Consider Catholic schools for your children!!
Tuition assistance is available through the Parish. Please call the church office for more information. Ph. 903-849-3234 or contact Father Paul at 903-372-1815.
ST. BONIFACE CATHOLIC CHURCH is providing a mentoring program in a safe and Christian environment that will help students achieve success in their studies and future careers. We will be presenting several motivational movies that will look at real-life situations of people who, against all odds, achieved success through hard work and determination.
In addition, we will have speakers who will share their real life success stories and encourage students to follow their dreams and to become the best that they can be.There will be counselors from various colleges and universities to help with their college needs. A panel of student leaders will be available to listen to and offer advice to other students on issues they are experiencing. Free tutorials will be offered by community volunteers in Math, English, Science and other subjects as needed.
it is our desire to involve parents and community leaders in the academic growth of our children. Because, as an old African proverb says: “It takes a village to raise a child.”
St. Boniface has undertaken a Tuitition Assistance program for the children of the parish. Any parishioners or interested parties are welcome to donate to the fund or Sponsor a Student. A student sponsoriship means $2500/academic year- the parents apply for monies directly from the school for part of the total and must also carry part of the cost themselves. The church Tuition Assistance program requires parents to meet with Father Key routinely and the children to maintain good grades.
Funding is limited- please see Father Paul Key for school year 2019-2020 assistance.
All children are welcome to request free Tutoring through the parish- please call Anna Hodges to arrange this.
For those who would like to donate to the Tuition Assistance program, click on the DONATE page for electronic giving or use the Go Fund Me account link (to the left) to read about this opportunity for giving to our parish children!!
